Blue eyes

Seen on the runway a lot.. A new rage for summer:
striking colored eyeliner/eyeshadow, especially blue,
combined with nude lips.
The pictures I saw from the runway with this trend were stunning,
I just had to try it at home.
At first I was afraid it would be too much,
but you can choose how hard you want it to be.
It also was the first time I was going to use this nude color in lipstick.
To be really honest, this is actually one of the first times I try out a make up trend.
For regular days I just apply some concealer
where it's needed and powder for a little bit more color.
For my eyes: mascara and sometimes black eyeliner.
Even when I go out, I almost never use eyeshadow or something special..
The only thing "extra" about my make up when I go out is my lipstick.
But now that I'm blogging, I also wear lipstick more during the day
and ofcourse I want to try out some trends and share my experiences.
What I do know is, that when you use the right eyeliner
it can accentuate your eyes really beautifully.

Basic tips I found for this blue color on your eyes were:
- Don't mix with soft colors
(white is not a color! you can definitely use white
as eyeliner IN your eye with blue eyeshadow (see example)
or on the inside of your eye fading to blue on the outside)
- Try to make your eyes pop!
- For a daily look:
go for a deeper tone of blue and use thinner lines
  Drama look/going out:
brighter color and bigger lines

My try-out:

Ofcourse, me as a newbie in make up,
I had to go buy some products.
I chose for:
Lipstick: Rimmel Londen, Lasting finish by Kate Moss, nr.03
Eyeshadow: Maybelline New York, Color Tattoo 24hr, nr. 20
Eyeliner: Gosh, velvet touch eyeliner, nr. 001 (blue moon)

I didn't take pictures of how I did it,
because I really just used a little brush to apply the eyeshadow under my eyes
+ used the eyeliner 'in' my eye... No special techniques or something..

My opinion: I think it looks really well if you wear the right clothes to match.
I don't think I would go to school with this amount of blue under my eyes,
but for going out I would definitely consider using it again.
As I said, for a daily basis I would use a thinner line,
or a line on my eyelid instead of under my eye.

Let me know what you think!

Black & White

One of the "trends" that was spotted on the catwalks of
Stella McCartney, Marc Jacobs, Dolce & Gabbana is BLACK & WHITE.
Can't go wrong with this one:
stripes, prints, graphics, contrast... Everything is possible.
As for me, I think black & white is not really a trend but
something timeless, it always goes.

I went for stripes, combined with my maxiskirt and a big necklace.

New Balance!

So everybody has been wearing them for a while now..
But I never found New Balance shoes that were totally my thing.
That was until I went into Tarmak, a sneakerstore in Sint-Niklaas (Stationstraat 86).
What am I saying? "A" sneakerstore -> The only one in the neighbourhood!
In bigger cities there are ofcourse more and more "famous" ones,
but this store is not inferior to them!
They have a big range of brands:
Converse, Etnies, New Balance, Vans, WESC and ofcourse Nike!
You can follow Tarmak on Facebook and this is their site.
Definitely worth checking out!!
But back to the sneakers...
I looked at them and it was love at first sight!
Just like they we're made for me.
Doubting to go in the shop (because: enough money spend that day),
it must have been faith that brought me in, haha.
It was like they were calling my name: "Laurentine, buy us, buy us."
Okay liiiittle bit exaggerating but I hope you know what I mean!
+ they are sooooooooo comfy!

I combined the shoes with a pink sweater and ripped jeans for a casual look.
Ignore the wet hair please, just came out of the shower.
Another note: on the pictures my sweater is more
see-through (because of the flash) than in real-life.

MEOW!

Everybody who knows me, knows I like a change.
Especially when it comes to my hair.
But I will elaborate on that a bit more in an other post.
Last week, I just had to go pink.
Every month I dye my hair blonde
and when you have platinablonde hair like mine,
it's very to easy to put a coloring shampoo on it.
When it's done by your hairdresser, with a good product,
it's not really damaging for your hair.
The color was very lightpink so it washed out after 2 times.
Maybe I'll try it again this week,
as my hairdresser is also a friend and loves to try out stuff like that.

Soooo when you're hair has another color, definitely when it's a special color,
you have to make sure your clothes match the haircolor!
Otherwise you can look like a real clown.
I've also had red hair and just before I colored it,
I bought 2 new red dresses -> looked awfall on me then, haha!

Thought my white cat-top was perfect to go with my pink hair.

I don't know what you all think about them,
but I am in love with these kind of "open" tops!

These boots are made for..

..wearing them with a cute lace dress!

Wore this dress already for going out but today I wanted to
find a way to wear it for a sunny day. ☀
So I took out my boots, a matching little belt and blouse.

As you might've noticed, I LOVE accessoires:
can't walk out my house without any.
↓ The accessoires to go with the outfit

Dress: Asos
Blouse: H&M
Rings: Six and H&M
Boots: H&M
Watch: Urban Outfitters
Peace bracelet: Love & Harmony bracelets

My Zara sandal heels ♡

I just can't wait to wear these new babies, found in Zara!
Just waiting for the sun to shine so I can put them on.
These kind of sandal heels with ankle strap will be
a musthave for this summer.
I love how feminin they are and make your feet look so elegant.
You can were them under almost everything;
from girly dresses to wearing them under your boyfriend's jeans.

On my wish-list:

Manolo Blahnik Chaos Cuff Sandal
(563.50 euro - so I guess they will stay on the wishlist)

Asos

Rihanna rockin' the ankle strap sandal:

Army girl!

Last summer all kinds of army/camouflage printed things came back in stores.
This time not only for real soldiers but also for us, fashionista's!
I love this trend because it really thoughens up your outfit.
Plus, it is so easy to combinate.
I now already have 4 of them in my closet but every time I see another one
in a store, I have to stop myself from trying it on and buying it.

For this outfit I wore my Maison Scotch jacket with black leather shorts.
The collar on the jacket is black with sequins and so I thought this was a good match.
Stockings (because it was too cold for naked legs),
wedge sneakers with studs and a simple white top.

Barbie Rock

There's no use in trying to hide it: pink is my favorite color!
For this outfit I combined the girly ruffled dress
with a little black belt, my short leather jacket and overknee socks
to add a little bit of rock to the barbie-dress.

Dress: H&M
Leather jacket: also H&M
Shoes: Forever21
Socks: Veritas (I think)
